Up until about a month ago, I had never heard of macaroni and cheese loaf. Pimento loaf? Yes. Macaroni and cheese loaf? What’s that?
My life’s been changed for $3.79/lb. I don’t even put it on a sandwich!
One might look about our house and one might say, “Wow, that baby sure has taken over with the dirty bibs and burp cloths.” True, true. But consider this: When eating that slice of gloopy pizza, do you have an acceptable napkin in arm’s length from just about any sitting location? I do.
I have this strange obsession with Eastern European cultures and traditions. “Oh how the ancestral immigrant blood longs for the motherland!”
Anyway, I had a hankering, a year or two ago, to learn how to make pysanky and now, I have to tell you, if you want a jump on what all the cool kids will be doing way before even the cool kids know they’re bored with knitting scarves, pysanky are your thing. Get your dyes and beeswax and start blowing them eggshells out!
So there’s this place that we go to eat at sometimes and they have a nice menu selection but I always order the same thing: the chili cheese dog basket. I know I’m not old but at 28, shouldn’t something like that give me absolute pains in the stomach? Dogs with chili? OK, maybe I can resist. Cheese too you say? Oh, now I’m surrendering to powers that are not to be understood.
