I Want To Not Care
Sunday, December 12th, 2004I want to not care about the panicky tomato shortage that is supposedly driving up tomato prices. I do not like tomatoes at all. It didn’t really occur to me, for some reason, that Italian sauce is made out of tomatoes. A delivery person at a local sub shop mentioned that pizza prices were going up this Monday and it all clicked into focus.
Oh, this will not do. Not my treasured sauce!
Fun Fact: “Druzba” is a tomato variety with “excellent juicy sweet flavor.” I’ll bet you didn’t know that.
