Patinkined Out

Friday, July 29th, 2005

I know Mandy Patinkin is multi-talented and all but his Web site makes me think he might be a little stuck on himself. Obviously someone else produced it as a labor of love but, easy does it, let’s be selective. That’s a whole lot of Mandy.

Thursday, Quarter, Jukebox

Thursday, July 28th, 2005

Minorthird’s Copycat Monday Quarter-in-the-Jukebox but it’s Thursday this week.

If you download something, you really should text me some love with the little form on the left and tell me you like or leave me a comment below.

The Long Winters - Stupid
Now here’s a song. And the guy from Harvey Danger is part of the group and sings backing vocals. Woo hoo!

Texas - Inner Smile
I sure do like Texas.

The Unicorns - Sea Ghost
I dove into that freezing sea
With the parasite attached to me…

Weezer - Perfect Situation

Wally Pleasant - Let’s Play Life
A lesser quality file but a cute song nonetheless.

Trendsetting and More!

Tuesday, July 12th, 2005

This story is so ‘93. I’ll give you a tip Innanet, the “it thing” for phone number spacing is actually spaces with no punctuation at all. Check back in 5 years when YaGoogle! says so.

Of greater concern to me is that the Reebok Classic is still not mainstream enough to warrant its own AP newswire article of interest entitled “All The Cool Kids Wear Reebok Classics.” I’ve been wearing the damn things for going on 15 years now and it’s time I got recognized for being waaaaaaaaaay ahead of the curve.

Oh, and Reebok… your description of the Classic misrepresents the truth: “The Classic Nylon gets the job done for short-distance joggers looking for a sturdy, affordable shoe.”

The Classic Nylon, does NOT get ANY job done unless that job is sitting around looking all badass hip. You DO NOT want to go running or doing anything that could be misinterpreted as running-like in these things because you will develop some freaky knees pointing out with feet pointing in condition that you’ll have to correct out of yourself with adult Stride-Rites.

These few video bits from NYC’s Whitest Kids U Know have had me laughing lately. You need Quicktime to do it up.

Minorthird’s Copycat Monday Quarter-in-the-Jukebox

If you download something, you really should text me some love with the little form on the left and tell me you like or leave me a comment below.

Westrin & Mowry - Baby Blue (Live)
Again, you like them. You just don’t know you do yet.

Beth Orton - I Love How You Love Me
This version of the song is very Twin-Peaks-Soundtrack-ish but I like it.

Gordon Lightfoot - Sundown
Sundown ya better take care
If I find you been creepin’ ’round my back stairs

The Russian Futurists - Telegram From The Future. I’M SORRY. STOP.
I’ve seen into your future, I saw the ending
Baby I’m sorry to wreck the whole story for you
Oh you sweet thing, poor you

Orange Juice - Rip It Up
Rip it up and start again…

Minorthird’s Copycat Monday Quarter-in-the-Jukebox Except It’s Wednesday Because Of The 4th of July

If you download something, you really should text me some love with the little form on the left and tell me you like or leave me a comment below.

Devin Davis - Iron Woman
Could this song rock any more?

Communique - Evaporate
Catchy as all hell.

Westrin & Mowry - You’ve Got It All
If you’re into Jack Johnson or John Mayer, these guys will probably float your boat. If you’re a man-crazy woman, you’ll probably get all
swoony at their pictures too. Oh, and the lead singer recently took the bar exam presumably in Michigan where they’re from. Damn talented, could just as easily be a male model, guitar playing lawyers!

The Long Winters - Cinnamon
Her skin is cinnamon…

Simple Minds - Glittering Prize
One of my favorite Simple Minds songs isn’t played on your average retro ’80’s station.
