I like your taste and the curveballs that you throw in there. Sorry about your dad. It's gonna hurt for a while. My dad is 70 and has had congestive heart failure for about 2 years now and he won't be around much longer. I just hope he makes it through the holidays. I'm lucky in that I live only about 25 minutes away and he is going through dialysis in my town, so I see him 3-4 times a week. It's good that you got to see your dad in October.
