Minorthird’s Copycat Holiday Quarter-In-The-Jukebox

Rose Polenzani & Catie Curtis - It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
One of the better versions of the song out there, in my opinion.

Andy Williams - It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
What kind of person are you if you don’t have the Andy Williams Christmas album?

Half-Handed Cloud - Asian Meteorologists Predicted The Heavens To Snow Down A Child A Child To Us (Plant A Little Fir Tree)
It’s the song title that keeps giving and giving and giving!

Cheekyboy - Biggie’s Last Christmas
Because for me every Christmas hasn’t been the same since Biggie moved on.

Coldplay - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
The girfriend enjoys the Coldplay.

Death Cab For Cutie - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
A nice update.

I’ll Have To Research That

Friday, December 23rd, 2005

Somewhere in the post-shower process, I manage to not spend as much drying attention on my right armpit as I do on my left. I’ll have to look into this.

I Spent More Than Ten Minutes Listening To This

Saturday, December 10th, 2005

If you’re me, you find this ATC Radio feed site interesting to listen to. I know it comes with mastery of the job but the people flying the planes and working the ground sound like pros. I guess they ought to be.

They Know Domino

Saturday, December 10th, 2005

This link goes to a company that creates domino displays for corporate and other events. At first, I thought to myself, “Self, that seems like a pretty silly thing with which a guy might make a living.” It turns out to be quite the opposite. Look at some of the pictures on the site. The guy has worked with plenty of corporations and it makes sense. Imagine some big company spending a few thousand dollars for a small domino display to mark an opening of this or that. Apparently, they’ve recorded a few world records as well.

I’d link to some pictures but the site is done in Flash. Look through the various pages though for some humor in the text. This excerpt is one of my favorites:

Our know-how and belief in the power of domino make us special. We continue to maximize our creativity and keep pushing the limits of domino.

My favorite parts of the regular family viewings of That’s Incredible! or Ripley’s were always when they had segments on large domino topplings.

Reality TV

Saturday, December 10th, 2005

We need a channel on the satellite or cable boxes that shows me 24-hours-a-day footage of people changing their shower liners. The comedy would never stop.
