Recent Things That Make Me Giddy

1. I can’t have a title like that and not start with her. The girlfriend rocks. Know it.

2. The recent string of food creations that have allowed me to reduce and remove products from my cabinets and refrigerator. I have difficulty parting with food items simply by throwing them away. If I can use them up in some grand creation, there are little bonus point balloons that flash in my head. Triple food bonus score!

3. Basil Chicken and, more specifically, my Simply Thai cookbook from the recent holiday gift giving. The Basil Chicken appeals because you could make a nice fresh Goat Cheese/Basil/Sun Dried Tomato pizza as was had this weekend and then you’ve got all this basil you don’t know what to do with and hello Basil Chicken with your 20+ leaves in the recipe. Double food bonus score!

4. I successfully implemented a Linux thin-client solution which is handy if, like your jars of condiments, you like to get a lot of mileage out of computer hardware. This, of course, isn’t the main reason I worked on the project. It does have practical use job-wise.
