The Rapture - Get Myself Into It
Roller girls! Wheeeee!

Maria Taylor - A Good Start
Not sure what’s going on with the video but it’s a good song.

Santo & Johnny - Sleepwalk
For hot summers. The song, not this video footage. You might also like this Brian Setzer version

Underappreciated

You just don’t appreciate a free toothpaste tube roller upper until you want to use it and can’t find it.

It was one of the more useful free conference goodie bag giveaways that the wife has brought home. Really now, does anyone actually buy a toothpaste tube roller?

A Case Of The Queueties

Friday, June 15th, 2007

You’ve got one of those movie rental queue services - Netflix, Blockbuster, or what have you - and you’re getting your three movies out at a time.

So inevitably, you get that movie in the mail that just kind of sits around for a while. That’s right, that one DVD has a case of the queueties.

Sure, it was next on your queue but two months go by and it’s like you might as well be on a two-movie plan because you’re still not feeling up to watching that lingering movie #3.

Of course, after having the thing around for more than a month, you’d think the sensible thing would be to just send it back and move it somewhere lower in your queue so you can get back to having three movies that you want to see at a time. But, no… one month in and it’s like a personal challenge. Two months in and it’s going for a record and you’ve got to see that record through. When will you break down and just “Oh all right! I’ll just watch it!”

Superhot and I had The Power Of One last year for, I’m pretty sure, almost four months. It was just never strong enough against the competition.

Best Deal Going

Friday, June 15th, 2007

Lately, the hotness and I have been augmenting our Netflix fix with Amazon Unbox rentals on the Tivo. They have these little weekend mini-sales where they pick a theme and have 6 or more recent movies available for 99-cent rentals (no Uncle Buck or Weekend at Bernies II).

The quality is on par with DVD and it’s cheap. You just make the purchase and they download over your home network. You can buy in advance and keep them on your Tivo for up to a month. I usually come home on Friday and just buy 3 of the latest just to have them around and available.

And that is what we call good ol’ fashioned product endorsement.
